Science Club

Science club is for any year 7 and 8 student to attend who would like to further develop their interest in Science, advance their skills in fieldwork, research and project presentations. Science club sessions will include one-off experiments that would not normally be conducted during lessons building to students investigating a question of their own and presenting it to a group of their peers.

Since October 2020, activities and experiments that could be conducted at home with everyday materials have been uploaded on a weekly basis to SMHW. All Year 7 and Year 8 students had access to these activities via the homework platform. The activities have also been uploaded to the KS3 Science Revision area of the school intranet for students to access at any time.

From June 2021, the Science Club will be meeting on Tuesday's after school from 3:15pm to 4:15pm with Mrs. Mortimer in S17.
Any Year 7 or Year 8 student wishing to sign up and attend Science Club must inform Mrs. Mortimer by filling in the Microsoft Forms survey she has posted on SMHW.
